Artist's Comments

This is a picture of a tree in a pond, taken on 7/31/07 in Forestdale Cemetery in Malden, Massachusetts. It was a very cool, foggy morning so I went for a random walk with my camera.

It was an amazingly weird day. It was really warm out, and there was still this creepy fog everywhere. :)

Yes John we get day's like that in our 'high summer', because it's warm, that warmth vaporises the morning dew, which gives the fog....I think :D :D

I love the reflections and layers on the water, the plants under it and the plants floating on it and the reflection of the tree. It reminds me of M. C. Escher's "Three Worlds." May I please draw or paint from it? I'd be happy to link back to your Deviation, credit you and note you if I use it, let you see what I draw from it. I don't so much want to do it exactly as use the water/leaves/reflection thing and maybe add fantasy creatures.

Sure, you can use it as a reference, no problem. I'd appreciate a credit, and I look forward to seeing what you make form it.
